He is the Board attorney for Washington County Emergency Communications District and the Washington County/Johnson City Emergency Medical Services having served in those roles for over 20 years. Lawrence graduated from East Tennessee State University in 1979 with a degree in political science and biology. He then graduated from the University of Memphis School of Law in 1982. He is married to Chouree’ Blevins-Counts and attends Boones Creek Christian Church. Senior Processor/Closer
Sam is the Firm’s Senior Processor and Closer. Sam is a graduate of the University of Tennessee and brings an excess of 30 years’ experience in the financial services industry. Sam contributes a considerable amount of knowledge and skills to the Firm. He currently serves as an active member of Southwestern Baptist Church, Tennessee Baptist Convention, Holston Baptist Association, and Gideons International. He previously served on committees for East Tennessee State University’s Bill Gatton School of Pharmacy, and the Washington County, Tennessee United Way. Sam resides in the Boones Creek community with his wife, Lesa, has two children and one grandchild. Sam’s hobbies include traveling, spending time with family, and a quiet evening at home.
Processor
Bethany has been with the Firm since 2020. She began her journey with us as our receptionist and is now one of our closing processors. She works closely with lenders, agents, and clients to ensure a smooth closing process. Bethany’s goal is to deliver outstanding customer service and is always willing to lend a helping hand. Outside of the office, Bethany loves to spend time with her family, making memories, cooking, and traveling.
Pre-Closing Coordinator
Megan joined the Firm in 2021 as our receptionist. She is now the Firm’s Pre-Closing Coordinator and Title Insurance Specialist. Megan works simultaneously with Real Estate Agents and lenders to provide necessary communication to get everything to the closing table as smoothly as possible. She also handles all of our Title Insurance Policies and Final Title Opinions after closing. She is a Tennessee Notary Public and attended Northeast State for Business Management and Office Technologies. Outside of the office, she enjoys golfing with her husband, traveling, camping, and being on the lake. She resides in the Gray Community with her husband, Aaron, and their 3 corgis.
Legal Assistant
Lex is the Firm’s Legal Assistant. She assists our office’s Paralegal with the preparation of the delinquent tax sale. She also helps prepare legal documents such as Deeds, Contracts, and other important closing and/or legal documents. Lex brings to the Firm an extensive background in customer service. She is currently attending college with aspirations to be an Attorney. Outside of the office, she has an eye for interior design, loves to spend time with friends and family, and shopping. She resides in the Gate City community with her beloved cat, Jasmine.
Receptionist
Sarah is the Firm’s Receptionist. Sarah is always so welcoming to our clients and the first smiling face you see. She is very outgoing, bright, and energetic. Sarah manages appointments, answers the telephone, provides pertinent information to clients, administrative tasks, as well as assists the legal department in various cases. She is a vital part of our day-to-day operation. Sarah has been married to her wonderful husband, Kevin, for 13 years. They have three children, Landon, Liannah, and Lacey. They also have Banjo, their adorable Pyredoodle. Outside of work, Sarah attends Jonesborough Church of God and is a member of the worship team. She also enjoys spending time with her family, thrifting, crocheting, and traveling.
